West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was injured in a car accident. This accident happened when she was returning from Bardhaman after attending a meeting. She got injuries on her forehead due to the sudden braking of the car amid rain and fog.
However, not much detail has been released about the accident yet. According to initial information, Chief Minister Mamata's car was moving at high speed. Meanwhile, a bumper came on the way. Due to this along with slightly low visibility, the driver suddenly applied brakes.
Mamata Banerjee was was attending a meeting of administrative officials in Bardhaman. Mamata's well-wishers heaved a sigh of relief as the injury was not serious.
CM was initially planned to return back to Kolkata by helicopter. But due to bad weather, the helicopter could not take off. In such a situation, she had to leave for Kolkata by road.
