CM Mamata inspects Jagannath temple inauguration preparations ahead of grand opening

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Digha Jagannath Temple on Monday to assess the final preparations for its inauguration. During her visit, Mamata Banerjee acknowledged the impact of the coastal environment on the region, noting that Digha is frequently affected by storms. "This region, being near the sea, is frequently affected by storms," she said. Despite the challenges, the temple’s construction has progressed steadily, and the area is ready for the anticipated influx of devotees and tourists.

The Digha Jagannath Temple is expected to play a key role in enhancing the region's spiritual and cultural landscape. The state government has positioned it as a central part of its plans to attract both religious visitors and tourists, aligning with Bengal's broader vision for tourism growth.
