In a major gesture, CM Banerjee announced that arrangements would be made to send photographs and prasad from the temple to every household in the state. “Jagannath is not just a deity of Odisha. He belongs to all. Let Bengal feel his presence,” she said, emphasizing inclusive spiritual outreach.

“The Jagannath temple of Digha will remain a pilgrimage place for the next thousand years,” the Chief Minister declared, stressing the cultural and spiritual legacy the temple will carry forward. She reiterated her government's commitment to supporting religious harmony and tourism.
