New animals will be seen at the new zoo in Newtown. The ecopark's deer enclosure, which used to house only deer, turned into a full-fledged zoo on Thursday. There are giraffes, zebras, macaws, black swans, various colorful birds. The tiger will come here very soon.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated it virtually on Thursday afternoon. Forest Minister Jyotipriya Mallick and prison officials were present at Harinala. 19 crore 50 lakh rupees have been spent to build Harinalaya. On this day, 352 bikes were given to forest guards across Bengal. The cost of the project is Rs. 4 crore 58 lakh.
Incidentally, on this day, Forest Minister Jyotipriya Mallik said, "To increase the attraction of this zoo, various species of monkeys including tigers, lions, chimpanzees will be brought to this zoo. The ticket price is only 30 rupees".
