CM Samrat emerges victorious in floor test after voice vote, slams Tejashwi

Bihar's first BJP Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, successfully proved his majority in the Legislative Assembly on Friday through a voice vote. The victory was secured seamlessly without the need for a formal vote division, as the opposition, led by Tejashwi Yadav, did not press for one. This decisive result effectively cemented the stability of the newly formed NDA government, validating its constitutional strength on the floor of the House.

The legislative session witnessed heated exchanges between the ruling and opposition benches. Tejashwi Yadav launched sharp critiques, claiming that the BJP had "finished" Nitish Kumar. In a fierce rebuttal, Choudhary defended his political allies and hit back at the former Deputy CM. He dismissed personal attacks regarding his past and credentials, asserting that power is not the birthright of any single family. Choudhary also pointedly remarked that Lalu Yadav's political survival in the past relied on support from the RSS and the strategic backing of Nitish Kumar.

Following the victory, CM Choudhary outlined an ambitious governance agenda. He pledged a radical overhaul of the state's education system, promising to enhance the quality of government schools to such a standard that even the children of ministers and officials would be enrolled there. Additionally, he announced stricter administrative controls, declaring that the functioning of police stations and blocks will now be monitored directly from the Chief Minister's Office. To ensure enhanced safety for women, he also promised the deployment of "Police Didi" at schools and colleges.
