CM to inaugrate Kolkata's Durga Puja Pandals with a virtual twist

Kolkata is gearing up for the much-anticipated Durga Puja festival, an annual celebration that encapsulates the heart and soul of the city. Alike every year, the festivities will begin with the inauguration of the Durga Puja pandals, with the spotlight on the prominent political figure, Mamata Banerjee. The Chief Minister of West Bengal is scheduled to commence the celebrations tomorrow, marking the official start of the grand event.

The inauguration will begin with Sreebhumi Durga Puja Pandal followed by Tala Prattoy. The Chief Minister's puja inauguration is to begin from Thursday, during which she will virtually inaugurate a North Kolkata pandal. This change in plans is attributed to Mamata Banerjee's health condition, as she is reportedly unwell and, as a result, will not be able to physically attend the puja mandaps during this time.
