On Monday, the Court asked the Center, Delhi Government, and MCD about the current safety measures The Court described these centers as 'death chambers' and suggested they operate online until full compliance with safety norms is ensured.
The Supreme Court specifically referenced the tragic incident at Rau's IAS Study Circle in Delhi, where civil service candidates lost their lives.
The Court issued notices to the Center and the Delhi Government, emphasizing that coaching centers endanger candidates' lives from various parts of the country. The Court underscored that no institute should be allowed to operate if it fails to comply with safety rules.
