The onset of mild cold weather is being felt across West Bengal, with Kolkata experiencing a minimum temperature of 21.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 29.5 degrees Celsius, according to the latest statement from the Meteorological Department on Monday. The capital and other regions, including Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, and Bankura, are witnessing cooler temperatures, leading to evening chills and early morning fog.
Additionally, areas in North Bengal, such as Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong, have also recorded a drop in temperature, contributing to a mild cold sensation. The Meteorological Department predicts that this cold spell will intensify towards the end of the week, impacting various parts of the state and requiring residents to brace for cooler conditions.
