Congress and AAP reach alliance agreement for Delhi Lok Sabha seats

In a strategic move mirroring their recent success in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress party has secured an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, aiming to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) stronghold over all seven Lok Sabha seats in the capital. Sources reveal that under the agreement, AAP is poised to contest elections on four seats, while Congress will field candidates on three seats.

According to insider information, Congress is likely to contest from the East Delhi, North East Delhi, and Chandni Chowk constituencies, while AAP is expected to vie for seats in New Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, and South Delhi. Additionally, the alliance could extend beyond Delhi, with Congress potentially offering the Bharuch seat in Gujarat to AAP, marking a significant shift in political dynamics.
