Congress announces candidates for 3 Lok Sabha seats in Bengal

Amidst the fervor of Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the Congress party has unveiled its contenders for three parliamentary seats in West Bengal. With political parties gearing up for the upcoming polls, Congress has named Pradeep Biswas for Bongaon, Azhar Molik for Uluberia, and Papiya Chakraborty for Ghatal. As election preparations intensify, parties are actively releasing their candidate lists, setting the stage for a highly contested electoral battle across the country.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to take place in seven phases nationwide, with West Bengal set to witness polling across all 42 parliamentary constituencies. The voting process in West Bengal will span seven phases, commencing on April 19 with constituencies such as Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, and Jalpaiguri. Subsequent phases will see polling in various regions of the state, culminating in the seventh phase on June 1, encompassing constituencies like Dumdum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbour, Jadavpur, Kolkata South, and Kolkata North.
