Before leaving for the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, a stampede broke out at New Delhi Railway Station, resulting in the deaths of 18 people. In response to this tragic incident, the National Congress held a protest at Howrah Station today, alongside the entire state. The Congress has held Indian Railways responsible for the incident and demanded the resignation of the Railway Minister.
According to the National Congress, the accident occurred due to the negligence of the Railways, and therefore, the Railway Minister should resign. The protesters' demand was that the families of those who died in the tragic accident at Delhi Station be given compensation of 30 lakh rupees, and that the Railway Minister step down.
