Coromandel Express derailment impacts Howrah-Sealdah Duronto Express, cancels Goa-Mumbai Vande Bharat flagging-off

In response to the derailment of the Coromandel Express, the Sealdah-Puri Duronto Express scheduled to depart from Sealdah at 8 pm on June 2 has been cancelled, according to the Eastern Railway. The decision was made considering the safety and operational concerns arising from the incident.

Additionally, in light of the tragic train accident in Odisha involving three trains, the flagging-off ceremony for the inaugural Goa-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express at Madgaon station has also been called off. The Konkan Railway officials took this step to show respect and solidarity towards the victims and their families.

These cancellations serve as a precautionary measure to ensure the well-being of passengers and to prioritize safety in the aftermath of the recent train derailment incident.
