Mamata awards 50 lakhs to female footballers of East Bengal team
The CPI(M) has launched a door-to-door campaign across West Bengal to mobilize support and raise funds for its Brigade Rally on April 20. Party workers, along with CITU leaders and affiliated organizations, visited various districts on Sunday, urging people to participate. The rally aims to bring together workers, farmers, agricultural laborers, and slum development activists under the Left Front’s banner.
As part of the campaign, CPI(M) members reached out to households, explaining the rally’s objectives and collecting voluntary contributions. The drive was seen in key areas, including industrial zones, rural belts, and urban neighborhoods. Leaders emphasized labor rights, economic issues, and welfare concerns, calling for mass participation. The fundraising effort is part of the party’s strategy to finance logistical arrangements and ensure maximum turnout.
The CPI(M) has intensified its preparations, with local committees actively coordinating the campaign. Several districts have reported high engagement, with residents responding to appeals for support. The party aims to use the Brigade Rally to highlight demands related to employment, inflation, and workers’ rights.
