Panic spread across Vikas Vihar Colony near Ufar Pura village in Patna’s Phulwari Sharif police station area on Friday morning after bike-borne criminals shot dead a notorious criminal. The sudden sound of gunfire startled residents, who rushed out of their homes to find a man lying in a pool of blood.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar Yadav. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers targeted him outside his house and carried out the assault in a swift and calculated manner. The incident created fear among locals, with many retreating indoors following the firing. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the assailants, who arrived on a motorcycle, shot Sunil Yadav twice in the head, killing him on the spot. After executing the attack, the criminals reportedly fired shots in the air before fleeing the scene, adding to the chaos in the area.
Police were informed soon after the incident and are expected to launch an investigation into the targeted killing. The murder has once again raised concerns over law and order, as residents of the area remain shaken by the brazen daylight attack.
