BJP targets Mamata over Jaynagar girl death; block road at CR Avenue
In a tragic incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official lost his life, and another constable sustained injuries during a confrontation between security forces and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Sunday. The encounter occurred in the morning in the Jagargunda area when the CRPF's 165th battalion was engaged in an anti-Naxal operation from its Bedre camp towards Ursangal village.
Sub-Inspecter Sudhakar Reddy was killed in the line of duty, while Constable Ramu suffered bullet injuries during the exchange of fire. Following the encounter, Ramu was promptly airlifted to a hospital for primary treatment, and four suspects were detained by the police from a nearby area.
A joint search operation was launched by teams of the CRPF's COBRA unit and the local police to further investigate the incident.Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed deep sorrow over the incident and paid tribute to the sacrifice of Sub-Inspector Sudhakar Reddy, instructing officers to ensure proper treatment for the injured constable, Ramu.
