Cyclone Shakti is moving slowly toward the coastal areas of West Bengal, affecting regions from Digha to Shankarpur and Mandarmani to Tajpur. These areas are currently experiencing dense cloud cover, rainfall, and strong winds. The storm’s approach has caused significant changes in weather conditions along the coast.
The Ramnagar block administration has issued warnings to local fishermen and tourists. Nitai Charan, president of Ramnagar Number One Block Panchayat Samiti, stated that tourists are advised not to enter the sea and to remain inside hotels during heavy rain and strong winds. Fishermen have been instructed not to take boats or trawlers into the sea until further notice.
