The minor accused of stabbing his friend to death at Dakshineshwar Metro Station on Friday afternoon has been arrested. After committing the crime, the accused returned home to Alambazar, where his unusual behaviour raised suspicion among his parents. When questioned, he confessed to the killing.
Following the confession, the family allegedly planned to escape to Begusarai in Bihar. They left their home and reached Howrah station by road, intending to flee by train. However, based on secret information, police raided the station and arrested the minor along with his parents and sister.
All three family members have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. Police said the family had actively planned the escape after learning of the boy’s crime. The incident has sparked shock as investigators continue probing the motive behind the fatal dispute.
