A huge bomb blast has been reported in Quetta, Pakistan's Baluchistan province, injuring many people. According to Pakistani sources, the blast occurred near FC Mussa check post and injured more than five people on Sunday morning. According to local media reports, the blast occurred in a secure area near Quetta Police Headquarters and the entrance to Quetta Cantonment.

Footage of the aftermath of the event has been widely circulated on social media, but the death toll remains unknown. Edhi worker Zeeshan Ahmed, who is leading the rescue operation at the site, said that the injured persons have been shifted to Civil Hospital in Quetta.

He said police and emergency crews attended the scene and the area was cordoned off. The blast came days after a Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque full of worshipers during afternoon prayers on Monday in a high-security zone in Pakistan's restive northwestern city of Peshawar, killing at least 100 people and wounding more than 150 others, mostly policemen. .
