Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
Serious questions have been raised over security arrangements at Suri Super Speciality Hospital in Birbhum district after a dead body was allegedly taken away from the premises without completing mandatory formalities. The incident occurred in broad daylight, despite the presence of round-the-clock security personnel at the main government hospital.
According to hospital sources, at around 11:20 a.m., a few individuals brought a patient identified as Ajay Singh, son of Bhalla Singh and a resident of Pandaveswar, to the hospital. Within 10 minutes of admission, doctors declared him dead. Soon after being informed, the persons who had accompanied him allegedly took the body downstairs using a lift.
It is alleged that the body was removed from the hospital without obtaining a death certificate or completing other required paperwork. The individuals reportedly left the premises without being stopped by security staff, raising concerns about how such a lapse could occur at a major district hospital.
The incident has triggered multiple questions among hospital authorities and local residents, including whether those who took the body were genuine relatives and whether any larger conspiracy could be involved. The circumstances surrounding the removal of the body are now under scrutiny.
