The Seemanchal Express, traveling from Jogbani to Anand Vihar Terminal, experienced an unexpected halt at Jigana railway station in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday due to a technical fault in one of its AC 3-tier coaches. The train was delayed for more than two hours, causing considerable inconvenience to the passengers.
The incident occurred when the train was en route and had to be stopped at Jigana station. Upon inspection, the railway authorities identified a technical issue in the AC 3 coach, necessitating its detachment from the rest of the train. This sudden halt led to chaos among the passengers as they awaited further instructions.
To resolve the situation, the affected coach was separated from the train, and the passengers were accommodated in another available coach. The train was then cleared to continue its journey towards Prayagraj, ensuring that the passengers could reach their destination.
Amit Singh, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of North Central Railway Prayagraj, confirmed the incident and stated, "The train was stopped due to a technical fault in the AC 3 coach. The faulty coach was separated from the train, and another coach was attached before the train resumed its journey towards its destination."
Despite the delay, the railway authorities managed to address the issue without further complications, allowing the train to continue its scheduled route.
