Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has angrily opposed the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), urging the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to revoke the controversial law. In a press conference held on Wednesday, Kejriwal criticized the BJP-led Central Government's decision, stating that it prioritizes providing opportunities to immigrants over addressing pressing issues like unemployment and housing shortages faced by Indian citizens. He emphasized the detrimental impact of CAA, particularly on states like Assam, where resentment against the legislation is palpable.
Arvind Kejriwal said 'The central government of BJP is not employing our children, but they want to employ their children by bringing them from Pakistan. Many people of India are homeless, but BJP people want to bring people from Pakistan and settle them. Now the government money which should be spent on our development will be spent on settling Pakistanis in India. There are approximately 2.5 to 3 crore minorities in these countries. As soon as we open the doors of India, huge crowds will come to our India.'
The CM taunted the Central Government and said, what is this CAA? BJP's central government says that if minorities from three countries Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan want to take Indian citizenship, it will be given to them. This means that a large number of minorities will be brought from these countries and they will be given employment. Houses will be built for them. They will be settled here. This is strange isn't it?
