Reconstruction of crime scene in Kasba as probe intensifies in Kolkata college student rape case
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta received a death threat late Thursday night, triggering high security alerts across Ghaziabad and Delhi. The threat came via a phone call to the Ghaziabad Police Control Room around 11 PM.
Following the call, Ghaziabad police immediately alerted their Delhi counterparts, who swung into action and heightened the Chief Minister's security. According to initial reports, the caller has been identified but their phone has since been switched off, making them untraceable as of now.
The call was made from the Kotwali police station area in Ghaziabad. While the identity of the individual has been established based on the call record, further technical tracking is in progress to locate them.
This incident coincided with news of the CM being allotted an official residence near her assembly constituency, a move made after she completed over 100 days in office. Police are probing any potential links between the two developments, while also tightening security around her residence and upcoming public events.
