The Delhi government will set up 7,500 health camps across the city as part of the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Pariwar’ campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiative, unveiled from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, aims to strengthen women’s healthcare and promote maternal and child well-being.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while announcing the move, described it as a “birthday gift” from the prime minister to the people of India. She said the campaign will focus on nutrition, immunisation, and preventive care for women and infants, in partnership with hospitals and dispensaries across all districts.
Union Minister Anupriya Patel emphasised that these health camps will improve access to healthcare and encourage community participation in raising living standards. Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh also assured that essential medicines and medical assistance will be made available at all centres under the campaign.
