A London-bound Air India had to do a turnaround to Delhi on Monday after a passenger got into a fight with its crew members causing them physical harm, the airline.
The flight, AI-111, returned to the Indira Gandhi International Airport around 10.30 am after its takeoff at 6.30 am as the passenger could not be pacified and continued to engage in a brawl with the crew members, as per reports.
The case has been filed in this connection and the man has been handed over to the police. He is currently in custody at Delhi airport police station.
“Not heeding to verbal and written warnings, the passenger continued with unruly behaviour including causing physical harm to two of the cabin crew members. The passenger was handed over to the security personnel upon landing. An FIR has also been lodged with the police,” the airline said in a statement.
