Kolkata Airport makes history by welcoming first Giant Airbus Beluga XL
Widespread, dense fog has enveloped North India, including the Delhi-NCR region, causing significant disruptions to transportation. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued advisories urging people to exercise caution while driving and to avoid unnecessary travel. The cold wave, coupled with dense fog, has led to the delay of 22 trains and multiple flights in Delhi, with the adverse weather conditions expected to persist for the next few days.
Several Delhi-bound trains faced delays of up to six hours due to the prevailing weather-related conditions. On Sunday morning, seven flights were diverted from the Delhi airport due to adverse weather, further highlighting the impact of the dense fog on transportation infrastructure. As North India grapples with dense fog and severe cold wave conditions, transportation authorities are actively managing disruptions. The MeT's advisory underscores the importance of taking precautions during travel, and passengers are advised to stay informed about the status of their flights and trains.
Delhi Airport's official said, “Due to dense fog, flight operations at Delhi Airport may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information.”
