I'll leave now, okay)?" His reassuring words and calm demeanor won the hearts of many, as fans flooded social media with messages for his recovery.
Eye grafting, also known as corneal transplantation or keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure in which a damaged or diseased cornea is replaced with healthy donor tissue. This procedure is often performed to restore vision or alleviate pain caused by corneal damage. While Dharmendra did not disclose the reason for his surgery, he appeared in good spirits and expressed gratitude to his supporters.
The veteran actor, who celebrated his 89th birthday in December 2024, continues to remain active in Bollywood. Last year, he appeared in Karan Johar’s blockbuster film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. His performance was widely appreciated, and the film became a commercial success.
Looking ahead, Dharmendra is set to feature in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming war drama Ikkis. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in battle. The movie will also feature Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, in a significant role.
As Dharmendra recovers from his surgery, fans continue to send their prayers and good wishes. The actor’s unwavering resilience and continued passion for cinema serve as an inspiration to many. His upcoming projects and public appearances reaffirm his legacy in the industry, proving that even at 89, the He-Man of Bollywood remains unstoppable.
