In a major breakthrough, the Diamond Harbour Police District cracked a house burglary case within 24 hours of the incident. Acting swiftly, the Magrahat Police Station recovered gold jewelry and cash worth lakhs of rupees stolen from the residence of textile businessman Saifullah Ali Khan in Dhamua. Three accused have been arrested in connection with the theft.
According to police, Saifullah had gone to Kolkata for work when the burglary took place. Taking advantage of his absence, the accused broke into his home and fled with valuables. Upon returning, Saifullah discovered the theft and immediately filed a written complaint at Magrahat Police Station.
A special team, led by Additional Superintendent of Police Mithun Kumar Dey, was formed to investigate the case. The police launched a rapid search operation, which led to the arrest of the three accused and the recovery of the stolen jewelry and cash. The accused are currently being interrogated to trace any possible accomplices.
