Devendra Fadnavis set to be Maharashtra's CM? BJP proposes name
Prashant Kishor, the renowned election strategist and founder of Jan Suraj, has set political circles abuzz after openly declaring his consultation fees. At a recent public meeting in Bihar, Kishor disclosed that he charges around Rs 100 crore for providing strategic support to political parties or leaders during elections. This revelation has raised eyebrows in West Bengal, where many are speculating if the Trinamool Congress (TMC) paid a similar amount for Kishor’s expertise during the tightly contested 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.
Prashant Kishor, often referred to as “PK,” has been instrumental in shaping winning election strategies for several major parties across India. His strategy reportedly played a pivotal role in helping West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her TMC party secure a third consecutive term, countering a fierce challenge from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In his recent speech in Bihar, Kishor not only revealed his fee structure but also defended his financial standing, mentioning that he could sustain his ongoing campaign activities from the earnings of just one election advisory.
According to media sources, Prashant Kishor disclosed his fee details on October 31 while campaigning for the upcoming Bihar by-elections. During his speech, he highlighted his extensive influence in Indian politics, saying, "Ten governments of different states are working on my strategies." Kishor dismissed any doubts about his financial capability, indicating that his high-profile work for political giants has put him in a secure position. "Do you think I will not have enough money to set up tents and umbrellas for my campaign? Do you think I am so weak?" he questioned rhetorically.
Kishor emphasized that his services come at a premium due to his successful track record, and he is compensated handsomely for his expertise. He stated, "If I advise someone in just one election, my fee is Rs 100 crore or even more." This, he asserted, is sufficient for him to run his campaign efforts independently for an extended period. His bold statement has not only underscored his financial success but also sparked discussions on the role of election strategists and the financial investments that political parties make for such expertise.
Prashant Kishor has worked with several top-tier political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal United (JDU), Congress, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Trinamool Congress (TMC). His journey as a political strategist has established him as a game-changer in Indian politics, having successfully crafted winning campaigns for both regional and national parties.
