Do not add adjectives before and after my name like 'Shree', 'Adarniya': PM to BJP leaders

Prime Minister Modi, addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting in Delhi, pointed to election data to illustrate the party's popularity. He stressed the BJP's notable victory in three out of four recent state elections, specifically in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

PM Modi commended the party's teamwork for the successes and urged MPs to avoid using honorifics in slogans. Additionally, he cited statistics showing that the BJP, in power, had a 56% success rate in retaining power after 39 elections, while the Congress had an 18% success rate after 40 elections. Regional parties were mentioned as well, with PM Modi noting a 50% success rate in power retention.

During the BJP Parliamentary meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that party MPs should refrain from using adjectives like 'Shree' or 'Adarniya' (respected) before and after his name in slogans.

"I'm a small karyakarta (worker). People think that I am part of their family. Do not add adjectives before and after my name like 'Shree', 'Adarniya' (respected), and 'Ji'. People think of me as 'Modi'," the Prime Minister said during the meeting.
