However, this time, the doctor was accused of beating a nurse in a government hospital. There is an uproar in the Islampur Government Hospital of North Dinajpur district. It is reported that the doctor has apologized for her actions after continuous protests by nurses.
As per reports, the nurses complained that a doctor named Renuka Khatun misbehaved with her unnecessarily. She went on to beat the nurse as well which escalated the situation. Later, the colleagues of Shilpi Das, the 'affected' nurse, burst into anger and went on strike.
They claim that when the hospital superintendent first asked the doctor about the incident, she said that what she did was right. The situation became more heated. Nurses warn of work stoppage. Finally, the doctor said 'sorry'.
According to a hospital source, Shilpi was working in the hybrid critical care unit. At that time, doctor Renuka entered the unit. According to the nurses, according to the rules, shoes cannot be worn in that unit. But Renuka entered wearing shoes.
The argument started when Shilpi told her to take off her shoes. An argument started between the two. That's when the doctor raised her hand on the nurse.
