Donald Trump injured in shooting during his rally in Pennsylvania

Former US president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump suffered injury on Sunday after a shooting at his rally in Pennsylvania's Butler. There appeared to be blood on his face, as he was taken off-stage by the security personnel after multiple shots were fired.

Donald Trump's spokesman said he was "fine" and was being "checked out" at a local medical facility. White House spokesperson stated that the suspect and at least one attendee were killed while two others were injured during the incident.

Recounting being shot at the rally, Trump said, "I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear." "I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin," he added.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden has been thoroughly briefed on the incident. In a later statement, he was "glad to hear Trump is safe". Biden expressed his concern and offered prayers for Donald Trump, his Republican rival.
