Durga Puja, one of West Bengal's most awaited festivals, is in full swing, bringing vibrant processions, artistic idols, and an atmosphere of revelry across the state, particularly in Kolkata. While the festivities continue unabated, the Meteorological Department has issued a statement indicating the possibility of intermittent rain due to a low-pressure system forming in the Bay of Bengal.
As of Sunday, Kolkata experienced partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of light rain, although not significant. Despite the rain threat, West Bengal has witnessed dry weather for the past two weeks, maintaining normal temperatures. In Kolkata, the minimum temperature recorded was 25.4 degrees Celsius, slightly above the usual, while the maximum temperature remained at 32.1 degrees Celsius, maintaining the seasonal norm.
Similar weather conditions are anticipated in several other districts across the state.
