Complainant coerced into meeting accused at local tea stall before being taken to his residence
Case has been registered under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Gulabi Bagh police station

DU Student Sexually Assaulted by Bumble Match

A Delhi University student was allegedly sexually assaulted by a person, she had met on dating app 'Bumble'.

According to police, a complaint was received from a girl stating that on January 17 this year she started talking with one person on Bumble App. On October 18, he insisted her to meet him late at night.

The girl refused to meet late at night however, agreed to meet at a local tea stall.

After that the accused took her to his residence at Basant Nagar, Delhi at about 3 a.m. and allegedly made physical relation with her forcefully.
A case under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Gulabi Bagh police station.
