Kolkata Airport makes history by welcoming first Giant Airbus Beluga XL
An Air India Express flight from Dubai to Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday sought assistance from the airport after the pilot had some problem while landing, an airline source said.
After landing, the plane was towed into the flight area and all 148 passengers disembarked safely, the source said.
"The pilot felt something unsettled on landing and requested ATC assistance. It was a normal landing at the scheduled arrival time of 6:30am. The pilot did not declare any emergency,” the source said.
After Air India Express flight IX540 was inspected on landing, it was found that the top layer of the plane's nose landing gear wheel had been removed, he said.
"It's nothing serious," he added.
