The wedding procession, originating from Hoshangabad and heading to Pipariya village, was struck by the out-of-control dumper, resulting in five fatalities and multiple injuries. Three seriously injured individuals were rushed to AIIMS Bhopal from Sultanpur for urgent medical treatment. Superintendent of Police Vikas Shahwal confirmed the devastating collision, which prompted swift responses from local authorities.
In another recent incident in Raisen, a gas tanker accident on the Bhopal-Jabalpur highway claimed the lives of the tanker's driver and assistant after the vehicle caught fire upon falling into a pit. The tragedy occurred under the jurisdiction of Sultanpur police station, with authorities working to identify the victims and assess the extent of damage caused by the ensuing fire. Investigations are underway, and a case has been registered in connection with the accident.
