Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
To accommodate the massive surge of passengers during the Holi festival, Eastern Railway has announced the operation of several one-way unreserved special trains. These services are specifically designed to assist travelers making last-minute plans or those unable to secure bookings on regular trains.
The special routes will connect major hubs like Kolkata, Sealdah, and Asansol to popular destinations, including Delhi and Jaipur, ensuring that the festive rush does not leave commuters stranded at stations. Specifically, the Kolkata–Jaipur Special (03115) is scheduled to depart on March 2 at 23:55, arriving in Jaipur on March 4.
Another service, the Asansol–Jaipur Special (03535), will leave Asansol on March 3 at 12:30. For those heading toward the national capital, the Sealdah–Delhi Special (03111) departed on March 1, traversing through key stations such as Bardhaman, Bolpur, and Bhagalpur to provide maximum coverage for regional passengers. These unreserved trains are expected to significantly de-congest the regular long-distance express services.
