ED grills TMC leader Shankar Adhya's family in ration corruption case

In response to Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons, Shankar Adhya's mother, brother's wife, and daughter appeared at the ED office, where they were questioned by ED sources. The ED had called in Adhya's family members to investigate the origins of a significant property linked to the ongoing case. Adhya, who denies ownership of the involved company, has been under scrutiny, prompting inquiries into his family's connections and the company in question.

ED sources confirmed that the family members were probed regarding the alleged company and were questioned about Shankar Adhya's financial ascent. In a significant turn of events, Shankar Adhya was taken for a medical examination today. Upon exiting the ED office, Adhya conveyed to his family that the agency has the authority to summon anyone for investigation.

Shankar Adhya's mother, brother, sister-in-law, and daughter, all involved in the ration distribution corruption case, arrived at the ED office around 12:30 noon. The primary focus of today's interrogation was Adhya's brother's wife, although the session was cut short due to the mother's reported illness.

Adhya's legal representative stated that the brother's wife underwent questioning during the session at the ED office.
