By-polls announced on 6 Assembly & 1 Lok Sabha seat of Bengal on Nov 13
In a significant development, Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi expressed apprehensions on October 31, suggesting that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) might arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on November 2. This development follows Kejriwal's summons for questioning in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. At a press conference held on Tuesday, Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi conveyed her concerns, stating, "We are getting information that when Arvind Kejriwal appears before ED on November 2, ED will arrest & put him in jail. BJP & the PM want to finish AAP. Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested not because there is any case against him, it is because the PM fears him."
Notably, this marks the first instance of Arvind Kejriwal being summoned by the Enforcement Directorate. He had previously faced questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in relation to the same case in April.
