Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
Rahul Singh, the son-in-law of Minister Sujit Bose, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate on Monday in connection with the ongoing investigation into the municipal recruitment corruption case. He reached the ED office in Salt Lake’s BD Block around 11 a.m., accompanied by his lawyer, following a summons issued earlier by the agency.
According to sources, the ED is examining the alleged flow of illegal funds linked to irregularities in the municipal recruitment process. The agency is focusing on how the suspected black money was generated, moved, and accounted for. Rahul Singh has reportedly been called to clarify his financial transactions and his possible links to the individuals under investigation.
Officials are questioning him on multiple aspects, including the alleged sources of funds, the nature of his contacts, and transactions that may be connected to the scam. The interrogation is expected to continue for several hours as officers attempt to trace the money trail and identify the roles of those involved.
