The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at three locations in Kolkata at 7 AM on Wednesday in connection with a digital arrest scam. One of the raided sites included the residence of Kamal Singh on Kali Krishna Thakur Street. The operation is part of an ongoing investigation into a series of cases where individuals have been allegedly targeted with fake digital arrest threats.
Officials confirmed that four women were present at the Kamal Singh residence during the search. The ED questioned them and examined digital devices and documents found at the premises. The raids are aimed at identifying individuals linked to the scam. No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation remains underway.
