The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid at the residence of prominent coal businessman Izhar Ansari in Pelawal, Jharkhand. The ED team, arriving around 6:30 in the morning, initiated the operation, with the entire house subjected to a thorough search by the CRPF under tight security.

Sources suggest that the raid is linked to alleged irregularities, specifically focusing on Ansari's involvement in acquiring coal at concessional rates through fake companies and subsequently selling it in the open market.
