The Department of School Education and Literacy will convene a grievance hearing on February 20 to resolve the problems of teachers and non-teaching staff at the district headquarters.
District Education Officer (DEO) Akash Kumar said, “An initiative has been taken to address the problems plaguing primary and secondary school teachers as well as non-teaching staff. Teachers were invited to attend the camp."
State General Secretary of Akhil Jharkhand Prathmik Sikshak Sangh, Rammurti Thakur said, “The decision of the Education Department to organize this type of camp is commendable. If such camps were organized regularly, it would help the teachers to solve their problems.”
“All issues including loans, provident fund and leave issues will be dealt with in the camp. Earlier, we used to regularly visit officials' offices and resolve pending issues. Moreover, most of the teachers in the state have confirmation of service issues which should be resolved first as they have been employed for a considerable period of time without having confirmed service. Besides, we will discuss the issue of promotion,” he added.
