Howrah resonates with the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr as the community gathers at Howrah Maidan's Idgah to mark the occasion with prayers and celebrations. With the Shawwal moon sighting on Wednesday evening, confirming the festival's observance on Thursday, the first Eid Namaz was offered amidst an atmosphere of joy and unity. Following the prayers, a special invocation was held, expressing wishes for peace and harmony across the globe.
State Cooperative Minister Arup Rai graced the occasion, extending warm Eid greetings to the congregation and emphasizing the significance of the festival in fostering brotherhood and solidarity. Amidst the festivities, members of the Howrah Maidan Idgah organization were observed preparing Pau, symbolizing the hospitality extended to the thousands who converge at Howrah Maidan and Mangalahat during the celebrations.
