On Sunday morning in Mukundapur, the lifeless body of an elderly man, identified as Ranjan Bose, was discovered in a multi-storey residence. Bose, a retired individual residing on the 13th floor, left behind a wife employed at RBI, while his daughter resides in Delhi.
The tragedy unfolded when security guards responded to a commotion, finding Bose's bloody body on the floor. Swiftly, the police were notified, and Bose was rushed to NRS hospital, where he was declared deceased.
The president of the multi-storey building recounted that the security alerted him at 6 in the morning, prompting immediate instructions to inform the police. Upon their arrival, an investigation was initiated with the involvement of residents, including the building's president.
Sources indicate that a pair of flats on the 17th floor are linked to the incident, raising assumptions that the elderly man may have jumped from there. Police visited the man's residence, conducting inquiries, and the body has been sent for autopsy.
