As the country prepares for the last phase of elections on Saturday, Bengal stands out with an unparalleled election campaign that concluded on Thursday. With the highest number of vote-related programs in the country, Bengal witnessed around 95,000 political events, including public meetings, rallies, street meetings, and road shows, making it a focal point of electoral activity. The Election Commission disclosed that out of 1,19,276 applications received for organizing programs in Bengal, 95,000 were officially approved, signaling the intensity of political engagement in the state.
Bengal's election fervor surpassed that of any other state, with all major political parties vigorously campaigning across the region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with key BJP leaders like Amit Shah and JP Nadda, actively participated in rallies, joined by Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states. Trinamool Congress, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, organized a remarkable 108 election rallies and road shows, with significant contributions from party leaders like Abhishek Banerjee. The Left Front and Congress also conducted extensive campaigns, with prominent leaders such as Meenakshi Mukherjee and Mallikarjun Kharge leading the charge in their respective parties' endeavors.
