The Election Commission of India is set to unveil the schedule for upcoming assembly elections in five states at 12 noon on Monday. This eagerly anticipated announcement will determine the dates for assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram.
The Mizoram assembly's current term is scheduled to conclude on December 17, with the Mizo National Front currently in power. Meanwhile, the terms of legislative assemblies in Telangana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh are set to end on various dates in January of the following year.
These states are currently governed by different political parties, with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) holding power in Telangana, the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, and the Congress in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
