Entire opposition will be in jail if Modi wins: Kejriwal post bail

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, fresh from his stint in Tihar Jail, launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during his first public speech post-release.

“If PM Modi wins elections, he will put all the opposition leaders behind bars and end democracy,” Kejriwal declared, emphasizing that prominent figures like Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Tejashwi Yadav, Pinarayi Vijayan, and Uddhav Thackeray would be among those targeted.

Kejriwal highlighted the challenges faced by his own party, alleging that PM Modi had undertaken concerted efforts to suppress the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He cited the simultaneous imprisonment of four top AAP leaders, including himself, as evidence of this suppression.

"Whenever a dictator tried to take over, the people of the country uprooted him. Today again a dictator wants to end democracy...I am fighting against that dictator but I cannot do anything alone. I have come to beg from 140 crore people to support me in saving the country from this dictator...The Supreme Court has given me 21 days to travel across the country. Every drop of my blood is for the country," he added.

Despite his release on interim bail until June 1, Kejriwal faces legal constraints, with a requirement to surrender to authorities on June 2. While permitted to engage in poll campaigning, his duties as Chief Minister remain suspended.
