Entire world sees India with positivity but 'some people' are still sad: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that despite the fact that India is brimming with positivity, “some people” are upset by it.

“We are the fifth largest economy. The entire world sees India with positivity,” Modi said. “It is a matter of pride for the country and the 140 crore Indians but it seems some people are sad despite this,” he said.

“The world is looking at India with expectations because of India’s growing progress, and ability. There is political stability now. We have a stable and decisive government. A majority government is initiating reforms out of conviction and not compulsion,” he added. Some remarks made by some leaders during the Opposition leaders have got the "ecosystem" jumping up in joy, PM Modi said in his remarks in Lok Sabha.

"After some people's remarks yesterday in Lok Sabha, entire 'ecosystem' and their supporters were jubilant," PM Modi said hinting at Opposition's criticism of the government.

Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday, launched a scathing attack on the government in the Lok Sabha over the Adani-Hindenburg controversy.
