EVM thrown in pond near Jaynagar polling station; Video goes viral

In the Jaynagar constituency of West Bengal, an electronic voting machine (EVM) was thrown into a pond near polling booth numbers 40 and 41 in Kultali, South 24 Parganas on Saturday morning. A video of the incident has gone viral, showing the EVM submerged in water. According to local reports, the chaos ensued after several polling agents were allegedly denied access to the polling booth, prompting a mob to storm the station and discard the machine.

The incident has raised concerns about the security and integrity of the voting process in the ongoing West Bengal elections. Local authorities are investigating the situation, and additional security measures are expected to be implemented to prevent further disruptions.
