The President of India has announced a series of significant gubernatorial appointments, effective from the date the appointees assume their respective offices. This includes the acceptance of the resignation of Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) as the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh, paving the way for new leadership.
In a communiqué issued from Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 14, 2025, the President is pleased to appoint Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh as the new Governor of Haryana. Simultaneously, Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been appointed as the Governor of Goa, bringing his experience to the coastal state.
Further strengthening the administration of Union Territories, Shri Kavinder Gupta has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. These appointments underscore the ongoing administrative realignments at the highest levels of governance and are expected to bring fresh perspectives to the respective states and the Union Territory.
